Happy Halloween Fukushima Japanese Garden

Image
The worst nuclear disaster since the 1986 Chernobyl inspired this painting to Wabyanko. It was really my first time to watch on TV an ongoing disaster, water running to eat humans... If possible to communicate with them, I will told them do not run on that direction, go left or right to avoid the flood... that's terrific. Still can't believe that it happens because of the Earthquake, that generates the Tsunami, which make the power plants system failed to explode, so successives cumulations of events that ends to this big multiple disaster. Still have to consider lesson learning from the past, how Titanic's disaster happened ? Can we say that one piece of the puzzle may avoid that, if the guy does not forgot to bring the glass on board, then early warning about the Iceberg would be raised! may be.... Now, I can only imagine that Fukushima is a mineral land after radiations kills biological life there, then this area becomes the biggest Japanese Stone Garden. In thi

EGGS CROSSING ABBEY ROAD Painting by Wabyanko

Image
This Artwork is Inspired by the famous photos of BEATLES crossing ABBEY ROAD. In similar scenery, Wabyanko imagines animated human eggs crossing the street. In backgound, a car is stopped at the red light, and his driver is very angry. The driver is represented as one CARE BEARS (Bisounours), which is supposed to be very kind and gentle, but while driving a car he turns into Evil. That's not because of the car, as here he is driving Noddy's car. With this Artwork painting, Wabyanko highlighted us about road security and drivers bad behavior. The idea is not new, as we know Walt Disney already made a cartoon on this topic in 1950 with GOOFY in MOTOR MANIA. It starred Goofy as a Jekyll and Hyde character. When he drives, nice Mr. Walker turns into nasty Mr Wheeler. It's not aged a bit. It's still a cutting critique of how cars can make good people bad. And I invite you to view it again, and share it also with friends to make our roads safe. =====================
